I am going to include a section here just for work from home scams. There are a lot out there that you need to be aware of, and doing research before getting involved in anything online is always a good idea.
One scam I want to talk about today are rebate processing jobs.
There are unbelievable amounts of people searching for these kinds of “jobs” every dingle day! But, from all the research I have done while putting my WAHM guide together, these are not legitimate ways of making money from home – and in fact you may end up being ripped off!
One that I ran across while doing my research is one being promoted and run by a woman called Angela Penbrook – and I strongly advise that if you run across one of her sites, (one of the sites is myrebateprocessor.com), you run the other way. If you do a simple search on Google for “angela penbrook scam”, you will get some results that will explain what I mean.
There have been thousands of people – not just moms who want to work from home – who have been taken in by this one. And, apparently she runs under different names as well, so who knows how many other sites she has out there. There have been reports to the BBB, and other actions have been taken against her, but it seems likely that most of the people won’t ever get their money back.
Basically, the scam consists of the person paying $197 for access to a database of companies which are hiring people to process rebates. The site claims that there are huge name companies who will be hiring you.
In the end – it is nothing more than showing you how to do affiliate marketing. You sign up as an affiliate for a company or product, you post ads on Google (which you pay for every click someone makes on your ad!), you offer the potential buyer a “rebate” for buying through your link – and IF they buy, you will get a small commission. You then need to send them a “rebate” which you promised them from the money you just made.
Trust me – this is not easy to do, and A LOT of people have lost A LOT of money on this kind of thing without learning how to use Adwords and do affiliate marketing the right way.
There is nothing but misleading advertising and information on the sales page, so do not believe it.
The truth is, at the end of the day – if something sounds just too good to be true……
Always do your research before ever giving your money away. Unfortunately, there are just too many work from home scams and you need to be aware.

I have been told by a friend that Clickbank make it very hard to get paid by pushing you to offload masses of unique digital products with differing charge cards not to mention Paypal. I’d like to use Clickbank but I’m worried about this. Do you know if it is actualy true?
