One of best ways a mom can start making some money from home, is by becoming a virtual assistant. And, the good news is, it really doesn’t have to be as difficult as you may think!

So many people fall into the trap of believing that they need to have some kind of experience, or that they will need to learn a whole ton of technical things to become a virtual assistant. This really does not have to be the case at all!

Becoming a virtual assistant is the perfect choice for moms who want to start working from home. They are able to stay at home with the kids, and a lot of the time, the people hiring them will provide them with much of the training they will need.

You see, everyone you work for will have different tasks that they would like done, and most will even have their own way of doing things. The biggest factor you need to remember if you are working as a VA is to find out exactly what the person doing the hiring is expecting from you. Usually they will give complete instructions and outline for what they require.

Obviously, if you want to work from home, you must have your own reasons. For most moms, it is being able to be home with the kids, and still be earning money. For some, it may be that they live in a very remote area with little access to daycare or even available jobs which would provide the money they need. Or, maybe some of you are just so tired of having to juggle so many things, watching the times you could be with your kids just fly past you.

Whatever your reasons, it is important to understand them. That way, when you begin to feel discouraged, or think that it can’t be done, you can sit down and think about what made you begin your search in the first place.

Last night, I was reminded why I have been putting so much into building my own business these past 2 years. It hasn’t always been easy, and I have struggled to find what was right for me, and made more mistakes and bad judgement calls than I care to imagine!

I know that many people have heard the horror stories, and all of the “bad” things about network marketing, but why are there so many out there who have taken advantage of a direct sales opportunity who have made things work for them?

I don’t know all the answers, and I am sure that everyone has some pretty strong opinions about multi-level marketing, and direct sales.

But, I want to point out that this kind of thinking really isn’t fair.  Why would you categorize all of these direct sales opportunities into one group?  Would that not be like lumping all internet marketers into one category based on one who has scammed someone?

Or, wouldn’t it be like saying all phone calls for a charitable cause are scams because a few of them actually are?

I have no experience myself in direct sales marketing, but while doing my research for my WAHM guide, I actually became quit interested in learning a bit more about it.  I too have heard the bad things about it, and there are so many people who go out saying that they are all scams and should be avoided.
